By Steven Keehner Before you read Part Two, make sure you've checked out the first part. If you haven’t read Part One, click here! Before I start Part Two; I want to thank everyone who read Part One on Reddit and on my website! The feedback was amazing and I can't believe how many people are starting their own Undrafted Challenge! I can’t wait to keep going, this should be fun! Now with that’s out of the way, let’s start with Part Two! After last week’s introduction to my fantasy experiment, I did what most fantasy players do after saying anything: over-analyzing the fuck out of it. With that, here are the four signings I made before Week One. Marvin Jones for Sterling Shepard Jamaal Charles for Latavius Murray Eric Ebron for Cameron Brate (Stupid Hurricane Irma) Carson Palmer for Andy Dalton So, between those signings and a few lineup tweaks, I was ready to embark on this experiment for real! While the odds were heavily against me, I knew that anything can happen, it only takes a bit of luck to pull off an upset! So, without further ado, here is the result of Week One! ONLY 5 POINTS! WE WERE ONLY 5 POINTS AWAY! While scoring only 74.1 points in a PPR league is pathetic, I was genuinely shocked with how close this game ended up being! I had Rivers starting for most of this week, but then I read on r/ff that Palmer would be a must start for the first four weeks, so I started him instead (thanks for that guys.) Had I started Rivers, I would’ve won. While it sucks that I lost, I’m happy to see that I might stay in more of these games than I had expected. One concern was seeing players like Prosise, Ebron, and Zay Jones combine for 7.1 points, but then again, this was never supposed to be an easy season. Perhaps I shouldn’t be that surprised; with the results of last week out of the way, here are the new signings for this week. I also added a reason of why I signed them and what I hope they can add for my team! New Signings! (As of September 13th, 2017) What can I say, I love signing new players! My Current Team!
With the new signings out of the way, we can cut to the final part of this update: The Week Two Preview! Thanks to the useful fantasy tool FantasyPros, we can see I’m expected to get the shit kicked out of me! This is to be completely expected, my opponent does have some favorable players/match-ups. But if I learned anything from last week, anything can happen on any given Sunday (or Thursday, or Monday, you know what I mean -_-). One or two unlucky injuries or under performances from my opposition and maybe I can make a push for my first win of the season. I will be looking at Jacquizz Rodgers and Corey Davis to give good performances. You know it’s bad when I’m also hoping that the Ravens can carry my team. Then again, when your best non-QB player is Ameer Abdullah, you can understand where I’m coming from. It’s looking like I’m taking another trip to L City, but that’s okay because I think my team is already significantly better than last week. Perhaps that is the main victory to take from this week (not really).
In Part Three, I will be explaining how Week Two went, going through the new signings for that week, and previewing my Week Three match-up! If you have any comments, tips, or anything, don’t be afraid to contact/message me! If you like my writing and want to read more, please check out my website, PTBSoccer.weebly.com! Thank you for reading and good luck in your fantasy games this week!
