By Steven Keehner In a week that I can only describe as one of my most interesting ever, I would be lying to you all if I said that Fantasy Football was on the top of my priorities throughout this past week. The world is changing rapidly for me. Not just in bad ways, but in amazing, fantastic, and good ways as well! But as I mentioned, there have been a few downsides; allow me to show you one of them… 49.3 Points. I have been playing fantasy football since 2010. 49.3 points has to be by far the worst fucking performance I have ever seen. Perhaps I deserve it for being so arrogant after sneaking out a win last week. But Week Three was a literal case of everything that could go wrong, going wrong. I could point to so many things that went wrong, but it isn’t even worth going over, I flat out lost. Fortunately for me, this is only Week Three! I’m only 1-2 and team chemistry isn’t a thing in fantasy football, so as a great man once said (probably), here we go again! Before I go into my new signings, I picked up two new players in Jamison Crowder and Phil Dawson for Graham Gano and John Brown, respectively. New Signings! Stefon Diggs for Marvin Jones Jr., Bengals D/ST for Ravens D/ST Blair Walsh for Phil Dawson
Despite the remarkably poor performance last week, I don’t think I can improve that much. However, I do have a Waiver Claim on a potentially massive player (in the context of my team), so keep an eye out for that if I edit my post. But let’s get a preview of my Week Four match-up! Another week, another projected ass kicking for myself. Can I blame FantasyPros? No, not at all. Regardless of my record, I’m listed in the bottom 1.5% of points scored on ESPN, 10-man, PPR Leagues. I’m only averaging about 70 points a week! I know this was never supposed to be easy. With that being said, I think I have a better chance of winning than I usually. Wilson has been average, Bell has been iffy, and Ajayi and Hopkins are both questionable; assuming both of them are out, things might be looking up! I’m hoping that Carson and Thompson can have more big performances to help lead my team to another victory. I also have some big expectations for Jimmy Graham and Stefon Diggs, who could turn out to be huge players if they can perform well! Now, let’s take a look around the league! It’s insane to see that one team quadrupled my score! It goes to show just how poor my team was last week. Fortunately, we’re still so early into the season, I’m not out of the playoff race yet. One impressive win and I’ll be right back at the top of the West, fighting for a postseason spot!
In Part Five, I will explain how Week Four went, go through the new signings for that week, taking another look around the league, and preview my Week Four match-up!
